About the Foundation

The Two West Foundation is a non-profit, charitable foundation, established in 2002 through a donation from the heirs of Andrew Goodman, co-founder of Bergdorf Goodman. The Two West Foundation, is an independent organization with its own board, and is entirely separate from the Bergdorf Goodman company.

The Foundation offers grants to not-for-profit organizations throughout the United States which facilitate progressive social change by addressing the underlying conditions of societal problems. Although the Two West Foundation doesn't prioritize any particular issue area for funding, we do focus on the types of activities and strategies an organization uses for creating social change in any number of areas including programs in education, arts and culture, the environment and public health. All of the Foundation's funding decisions are made by the Foundation’s board of trustees that meets three times a year to review proposals.
